Homeowner Lillian McNair says that her Cambridge home is angel-protected and well loved. Her daughter loves playing soccer in their yard and is the “gardening expert” in the family.
The Women on Wednesday volunteers are a group of women who dedicate their time working on Habitat Choptank job sites and supporting the affiliate’s neighborhood revitalization and home repair projects.
Kim and Linda became Carpenters Club members and faithfully donated. Already interested and supportive of Habitat’s mission, Kim was looking to be active in his community and give back – and maybe learn some new skills in the process. Volunteering on the construction job site was the perfect match.
In a letter to Habitat Choptank, homeowner Doretha writes, “You came into my life when I was in a very vulnerable state… I really did not know what to do, then my next door neighbor told me about Habitat.”
